39- Save Humanism in Religion, 2012

Dr. Abdul Jabbar Al Rifai summarizes his vision in the modernization of religious thought and the development and growth of our society as in follow:

1 – Man is a religious despite the different manifestations of religiousness and varied expressions of religious life according to human diversity. And life is unbearable without the experience of religious, so that the tendency of religion represented a (thirst) of anthology can not be satisfied unless communication with the absolute. These expertise and experience can be remained and have always been an important source of compassion, love and beauty in the world. But when religion is being manipulated , recreated and distorts so, the understanding of the explanation of a barbaric savage, and then turns this interpretation of the religion into the opposite to hurricane, therefore; dispels all human endeavor, building, and destroy a lot of achievements of human life and remarkable gains in history. We can not build our country without spreading the understanding of rational, tolerant of religion which is deeply raising the integrity concepts of its essence. This will distribute the humanity image of religion, which is the contrary picture to what the groups working to provide a wild travesty of religion.

2 – The intolerance, aggression and exploitation are phenomena in human society, and the violence of man against his brother (man) is not an emergency in life, but is biological, political, social, and cultural, religious behavior and deeply rooted in the world of humans. Violence is one of the phenomena of human chronic society, which threatens and follows us where we were in our country. Peace is the way of social security and lives together. There is no safety for the world but by adhering peaceful resolution of disputes, and get rid of fear of violence and wars, which touched destroy human, and blow a lot of his gains and achievements on the earth.

3 – The message of religion and its complete targets emphasize to promote peace, compassion and love among people, seek to dry up the sources of violence, aggression and intolerance, but as long as the blurring of this message and set aside those purposes by creation of emergence of groups and teams ,which is not confined to declare their affiliation to a religion, but insists on monopolizing the representation, and is keen to antagonize any other group offers a different understanding of religion. From here should save humanitarianism in religion, the announcement of its moral and rational, aesthetic and symbolic horizons.

4 –It does not mean that we seek religion that reduces the human in set of concepts and values of the ideal, transcend his humanity, and create him as heavenly abstract out of earth, just as some of the trends and invitations Sufi Order and monk , but does this mean religiosity save humanitarianism in religion, and create a state of balance and harmony between the requirements of his body as it is a human being, and the possibility of establishment and developing a spirit of reconciliation with the world; harmony with the rhythm of the universe; the consolidation of belonging to the world; sympathy with all living beings and compassion for them ; the promotion of moral love ; the training of emotions and feelings on the noble values ; seek to discover tributaries and springs of the vital positive energy of this world, and then communicate with them.

5 – Critic is the source of intellectual and social development; critic is the base of progress and the lifeblood update everything and renovated, and then no life of religious thought in Islam unless continuing critical review and continuity of culture, experience, history, heritage and the Islamic society. There is no way for salvation and escape from the condition of decadence and backwardness, but only by rooting and devoting the critical aspect.

6 – No way to derive fruits of humanitarianism in religion, but salvation from the oppressive arbitrary interpretations of texts, concepts and overcome stereotypes and statements enclosed in classical theology. But it is achieved by opening the door of inference in theology, update theological thought, and then try to build an informed rational open minded theology. The update of theological requires questions and inquires of new critic and Reviews heritage of rhetoric, leading to freedom from the stereotyped image of God, formed in the bloody conflicts, strives, and the many wars between the teams and doctrines. As well as to seek to establish the image of God, inspired qualities of mercy, love peace and the like features such as: Merciful, The Ever-Merciful, The Super Holy ,The Peace , The Ever Mighty , The Initiator, The Supreme Fashioner , The Supreme Forgiver , The Superb Bestower , The Super Provider , The Ever Beholding , The Judge , The Justice , The Ever Kind , The Ever Forbearing , The Ever Thankful , The Ever Preserving, The Ever –Honorable The Supreme –Answerer , The Ever Embracing, The Ever Wise , The Ever Affectionate , The True , The Life –Giver , The Ever –Benign , The Superbly Relenting, The Ever –Clement , The Ever Forgiving , The Ever- Compassionate, The Possessor of the Kingship , The Ever Affluent , The Light , The Guide , The Ever Rectitude , The Ever Patient ..etc

7 – Respect for the ideas and believes in the importance of openness to what opposite with and then promote the spirit of openness and work with those who disagree with him.

8 – Call for multiplicity and tolerance; to establish the values of difference and respect for others.

9 – Spreading the culture of coexistence and dialogue among religions and cultures.

10 – Establishing the mental critical dialogue, and overcome the mental static closed.

11 – Critical understanding of heritage and modern knowledge.

12 – Represent the spirit of the age, and opening up to the current benefits of sciences, on the basis of: wisdom is the goal of believer; where he finds it, takes it.

13 – Purification of religion out of hatred and religious constraints.

14 – Freeing the understanding of religion from the statements, ideas and attitudes intolerant and aggressive.

15 – Discovering the positive effect of rational human vital understanding of religion in the social and economic, political and cultural development.

16 – Adoption of the visions and concepts, which aims to keep cope with the age, and promote reconciliation between the religious man and the society where he lived.

17 – Shed light on the dimensions of rationality, moral, humanitarian, aesthetic, symbolic, moral noble light aspects in the religion and heritage.

18 – Call for the construction of a multiply civil society, prevailing values of his life living, and to devote the right to differ, and education that homeland can accommodate all, and all have the right to life and a decent living. As long as they equal in belonging to the homeland, they are equal in their rights, so that citizenship is a quorum, regardless of their origins and believes.

19 – Promoting a culture of human rights and freedoms, and all that supports the dignity of human beings.

20 – The liberation of woman from the customs and traditions, ignorance, and protect the dignity of abuse and physical violence or symbolic violence under any pretext, and give her opportunities to contribute to community building and engagement with the comprehensive development.

21 – Reconstruction of curricula and courses of education at all levels, focusing on basic education, high attention to children in the nursery and primary school, education and direction on the basis that the child is not the space sills with indoctrination, but it is the creative energy should be to discover the latest methods of education that keep him ignited undimmed.

22 – Seek to dry up the sources that reinforce the concepts of tyranny, that are working to discredit and destroy the psychological citizen.

23 – Culture should be focuses to deny coercion in religion, and dissemination of the principle (no compulsion in religion) and serve as a basis and standard reference values in dealing with others, spread: the amnesty, peace, justice, charity, compassion, dialogue, wisdom and beautiful preaching, argue with something better, love, patience, politeness, forgiveness, beautiful, beautiful abandonment, other calls support the meanings of soft, respect for others, and co-existence.

24 – Enlightenment citizen’s awareness and warning him against calls and statements that reinforce the concepts of intolerance, ossification, unilateralism, isolationism, violence, and denial of the other.

25 – Implanting the concepts and slogans that glorify the life and works to free people from statements calling for the death; abandonment calls for death reverence and satire of life, and cursed the joys, defamation means of joy and happiness; abandonment from any attempt against the beauty and art , it can not be saved, but to devote tendencies spiritual, moral, technical and aesthetic. As well as to strive to close the files, speeches, bitter memories, to devote each strategy forgotten depression and pain and sadness in the past, and then insist on calling the fun and joy, hope and optimism.

26 – Trying to protect the natural environment and disclosure of the elements of harmony and beauty in the universe, and the development and devote reconciliation and harmony between man and his environment.

27 – Beware of confusion between necessary and others; attempt to classify all the rights, needs and desires and needs as to what is obligatory and what is a voluntary. It is obvious that the obligatory step ahead of others. The immortal criterion that is eternal in what can be provided by those things that is good for humanity. The order of priorities is according to importance to build human and his integration, and then exclusion and deletes everything not respond to this principle.

28 – Time is life, and progress of any human group or person depends on the skill in the exploit of time and arranges “budget for the time.” and Time budget means the programming tasks and personal concerns clearly. There are daily tasks, weekly and monthly third, fourth annual, and many are temporary or permanent unnecessary or necessary… Etc., and unless we put the budget minutes of time sink into chaos and the absence of the seriousness of our lives.

29 – The uncertainty kills the basic knowledge, but it reacts deep and compound knowledge, so we should be wary of facts, affirms and the finals as well. It is not doubt but certainty that leads to affirm and dogmatism to deny diversity and differences, not realizing that the world is wide for different concepts, ideas and beliefs.

30 – Knowledge concern gives the process of thinking a necessary condition for innovation, sustainability and dynamism. Thought can not be grew and developed  without confused questions, and then vital thought does not stop arising questions and free from repeated inquiries that miss the concern.
